NEW RECORD IN PRODUCTION !!
In conjunction with Mark Williams co-producing and mixing, and other production help from friends in LA, London and Phoenix, I am finally getting my next album recorded. My last full length rock record was 1998. A lot has changed since then and so has the music. Its all very exciting. The working title is The Charlie Hamill Group. The album will feature a vast array of musicians from Virginia and North Carolina. I will be doing the writing, guitars, some harmony vocals.
I have recorded most of the basic tracks as of 4/1/09, and we are now doing vocals and overdubs. It will be mixed by Mark Williams this summer. Check out his site - he is a great friend and an excellent engineer. I plan to play some dates under the name The Charlie Hamill Group, and bring out lots of players from the album. Stay tuned for audio clips and pics.
