GUITARS

This is the Martin guitar that has been the family since 1959. My mom got it for my sister, and soon it was just sitting around collecting dust. When I came along and started playing, I took it to legendary restorer John Krupenbach and he did a great job with it, however, the time has come for more work. One day this guitar will sing again!!
This is my baby, the Takamine. It has seen more planes, trains and autos than you can believe. I have also ran over it TWICE. (Thank goodness for strong cases!!) This guitar has made me $$$ over the years and I will always hold on to it. It just feels great in your hands.
This is also my baby, the "Cabernet" Paul Reed Smith. I got this guitar in 1989 just when they were first coming onto the market. It is an incredible instrument. Its versatile, but is does one thing really well - SING!! Sweet leads and sustain and feedback for days!!
The G&L Strat aka The Green Mean Machine. I play this guitar a lot in alternate tunings and with a slide. It just has a great single coil strat sound. Bought it used at Fret Mill Music in Roanoke
The Les Paul Honeyburst Standard. The Cadillac of electric guitars. This thing rocks like hell or smooths out the jazz lines in a smoky niteclub. Bought this one slightly used at Kelleys Music in Roanoke.
Black Beauty, my Yamaha 12 string. This is the only 12 string I have ever enjoyed playing. It has nice, low action and a good sound plugged in.
My newest ax, the Godin nylon string. This purchase was inspired by my good buddy Andrew Winn. It has a very pure sound and the nylon factor changes everything about the way I play. It also has some very cool electronics built in.

If you look at the top picture, you see the red striped guitar. That is what was formerly my black Kramer that I painted in Austin. Of course it is painted like the classic Eddie Van Halen guitar from 1982 - 1988. I got that guitar together when I was in Romeo Delight, the VH tribute band. Since I completely remodeled it, it doens't play so great, but the sound and look are there. That's the guitar page!!
